At first, we were told masks didn’t help unless you were already sick, in which case, you should wear one for the benefit of everyone around you. And then we were told that yes, masks can help with avoiding becoming infected. According to the Federal Reserve, the country is officially in recession, with millions of people filing for unemployment in just a couple weeks. New York is under siege, and Rhode Island is conducting door to door searches to ensure New Yorkers don’t try to escape. In the Philippines, the president has announced the military will shoot to kill anyone interfering the efforts to rid the country of COVID-19. In New Zealand the police will enter your house to see if you’re socializing too closely.
The fear mongering is everywhere. Allergy sufferers are wondering if their annual hay fever symptoms are really symptoms of the virus. This time of year, it is common to get a cold, but is it a common cold or is it the virus? Is it a hangover or is it the virus? Around the globe, the flames of fear are being fanned by the authorities and their media mouthpieces. Here in rural Washington State, even the chickens sound scared. Anxiety alone can make you sick, so I can’t help but think some of the so-called COVID-19 cases are due to consuming too much propaganda.
Hypothetically speaking, if COVID-19 didn’t exist, what number of the alleged deaths being breathlessly reported on a daily basis, were of people who would have died of the “flu” anyway? Considering the tests for COVID-19 are provided by the same governments that are currently scaring the bejesus out of everyone, who can trust any of their figures? In the USA most people doubt the reports from the Chinese government, which state they have the virus under control. Americans still trust their media, despite the fact that some of them are in open league with the intelligence services. So who to believe?
I know many people who have been in self-quarantine for a couple weeks already. They are currently making their own masks in preparation for the long haul. Do they intend to glove, and mask-up until they are given the “all clear” by the authorities, whenever that is? Or will they maintain social distancing in perpetuity? If the alleged virus is as infectious as the intelligence services are saying, then how can anyone ever hope to contain it? The sooner we are all exposed the sooner we as a species can move on from it. If by some miracle New York and Seattle don’t expose the rest of the nation, when will it pop-up elsewhere?
It’s starting to look like a global ad campaign for vaccines.
I am not a fan of vaccines. I can’t even remember the last time I had a flu shot; I think it must be 15 years or more by now. I am 59 years old and in pretty good health. I rarely see a doctor, but when I do, it is usually for an accidental (or absent-minded), self-inflicted injury. I often don’t even get a seasonal cold – knock wood. I am not allergic to pollen or pets, as far as I know. I have been socially distancing ever since I began telecommuting about ten years ago. A local healthcare center reported a couple cases of COVID-19 have already shown up in our neck of the woods, and they have begun drive-through testing. My wife and I still go to town for supplies, so I assume that if the virus is as widespread as we’re told, we may have already been exposed to it. Logically, if COVID-19 is real, then the possibility of infection will always be present. Allegedly the reason it has spread so quickly, and is so deadly, is because humans have never seen it. It is “novel,” therefore we have no resistance to it. But being exposed is not the same as being infected. I may be healthy, but because I am not vaccinated, I am a threat to the rest of the herd.
It is the herd mentality that worries me. When healthy people are a threat to society, then society ain’t healthy.
Depending on where you look the “flu” kills hundreds of thousands of people every year. The vaccine-pushers insist vaccines protected about half of those who got it. How many of those people had other serious health issues is anyone’s guess.
I don’t blame people for panicking, heck, they’re only doing as they’re told. In this atmosphere of fear if I had any of the symptoms of flu, I would probably panic too.
My problem is that the media have been lying to us about matters of grave importance for so long, I can’t take anything they say at face value anymore. The myth of the independent media faded 19 years ago, when they broadcast cartoon jets flying through steel buildings. I can’t forget how they lied us into America’s longest running war in Afghanistan, nor the yellow cake uranium of Iraq, both of which resulted in the murder of tens of thousands of innocent people. If this was a court case and a witness was exposed for lying, the rest of their testimony would be suspect. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me; but that is never applied to the media.
With their help, our government has been at war over one bald-faced lie after another since before I was born. To believe that the people in power are trying to save lives now, is laughable. I sincerely doubt they give two shits about anything except consolidating power.
So, when it comes to COVID-19 I am very skeptical that the truth is what is being reported. I don’t want to die any more than the next guy, but no one gets out of here alive. I am more concerned with what kind of world we are leaving for future generations than I am with whether or not I’ll be taken by this new plague.
I assume the authorities will eventually claim victory; their lock-downs, martial law, and other scare tactics will be successful, giving them an excuse to lift the quarantine, although many of the countermeasures will stay in place for the protection of we the people. In my opinion, based on the narrative of the last few weeks, the panic isn’t going to end soon. It’s not as if they can just put the genie back in the bottle. The world already believes impossible things, and the public has already demonstrated we will do as we’re told (for the most part), so I’d be very surprised if we’re not socially distancing for many months to come, or longer. But that’s just me.
Will this nightmare end with forced injections of untested vaccines, all for the sake of “herd immunity?” Who knows, but when people believe impossibilities they’ll believe anything. Or as Voltaire put it,
“Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”
Keep your heads down.
